IMPORTANT SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

Properly read through and follow all guidelines, labels, and warnings included with the packaging and luminaire.

Service, maintenance, and installation of all luminaires should be performed by a licensed electrician.

NEVER INSTALL A DAMAGED LUMINAIRE! Contact Wisconsin Lighting Lab, Inc. (WiLL) support immediately if you suspect a product is damaged in any way.

NEVER INSTALL OR SERVICE A LUMINAIRE ON AN ENERGIZED CIRCUIT!! Ensure all power has been fully disconnected.

Follow all NEC (National Electrical Code) and local electrical codes when making electrical and ground connections.

All circumstances cannot be addressed in these guidelines. Practice common sense and use general safety measures when installing or servicing the luminaire.
Instructions for Rope Replacement

Turn off power to the pedestal.
-
Remove handhole covers.
-
Disconnect incoming power wires
-
Single Charger- Disconnect from the inside of the charger and pull wires into the pedestal.

Dual Charger- Disconnect from the multitap connectors.
-
Remove the 4 nut covers and the nuts at the base of the pedestal.
-
Lift pole over threads and conduit coming out of concrete base.

Lay the pedestal down on blocks to prevent damage to the chargers or pedestal.

Remove the top cap.
-
Remove the 2 bolts with sealing washers on top of the pedestal.
-
Remove the pulley assembly out of the pedestal.
-
Push counterweights up to the top of the pedestal to allow access to the pulley at the top of the counterweight
-
Remove all of the rope being replaced

Refer to the “Rope Routing Diagram” below for proper routing of the replacement rope.

Once rope has been properly routed, slide counterweight back inside the PVC tubing guides.

Insert pulley assembly into pedestal and reinsert the bolts with sealing washers (40 in/lbs for sealing washers).

Tip the pedestal to a vertical position slowly to prevent counter weights from free falling.

Lift the pedestal back onto the base.

Tighten the 4 nuts to secure the pedestal to the base (50 - 60 ft./lbs. for wedge anchors).
-
Once the pedestal is stood back up and secured, verify rope is properly routed over the top pulleys.

Reinstall top cap
-
Reconnect incoming power wires

Single Charger- Pull wires into charger and reconnect.
-
Dual Charger- Reconnect into the multitap connectors.
-
Install handhole covers
-
Restore power to pedestal.
