Driver: EMI Filter Removal

Parts Needed

Heat Shrink Tubing (Panduit Wet-Shrink™ HST0.4 or equivalent)- 3” per driver
Butt Splices (3M 94785 18-22 AWG or equivalent)- Qty 3 per driver

Original Driver Reference

Step 1

Cut EMI filter flush with the plastic on both sides to give as much cable as possible.

Step 2

- Strip outer insulation on both cables to 1” and individual conductors to 5/16”.

-Cut flush the pink and blue wires (Unused).

Step 3

- Install heat shrink onto cable before crimping!
- Crimp all 3 butt splices. Match conductor colors.
- Pull test each crimp joint to ensure a good connection.

Step 4

- Using a heat gun; shrink the tubing around the crimp joints

- Make sure it seals on the outer insulation.

- Heat until the glue comes out of each end.
